F’ Miss Hausr: {our local school mistress), having recovered from her late attack of influenza, the school is now open again, much to the delight of the ‘parents. The Settlers’ Picnic is to be held on the Papanui grounds on the 25th inst, ‘ to be followed in the evening by a . dance in the “Siberia.” woolslied. No doubt boil‘. picnic and dance wlil be well patroniised, being very popular in ‘H.115 and outlying districts. The road from Pukeroa will most probably be open by thcn_ The school children's picnic is to take place later, on a. date to be decided upon.
