A GOVERNM ENT OFFER
WELLINGTON. March 6.
At the (‘.UllfOl'(‘l”lC€ between the miners’ delegates and the coal owners the Government made an important offer to the State miners, which has now been submitted in detail ‘re the State Miners’ Union for a. decision. It suggested that a. Board of Management for the Stafe mine be set up. consisting of the Blinister of Mines. who shall be ehairmair. the UnderSecretary of the Mines Department. with a connnereial man to be appointed by the Government, and a represenltative of the miners, who shall be appointed by ballot every three years.
