The local green looked better last Thursday than it has done for many weeks past, and yvas apparently appreciated by twenty odd players who engaged in {tho Barnett Pairs Competi‘Lion for Dl‘. Boyd ’s trophy. The final resulted in Fookvs winning the trophy for skips and I-loweus for the leads. .\ll‘s Eteveneaux and Miss Riddick

The club heartily appreciate the ladies, individually and collectively, and would say of them at all times “the more the merrier.” One or two enthusiasts roll up every ’.l‘lmrsda.y, but as the poet says, “We live in hopes.” Next Thursday the second réiund of Barnett Pairs will be played, and after jthat the Club Competition will be run to a finish.
