AMUSEMENTS.

OUR PICTURES-—TOWN HALII. A very big crowd enjoyed the ex~ cellent. programme provided at the ’l‘o'.vn Hall on Saturday night. An entirely new series will be screened to-night, with the popular I’a.ranlount actor, Chas. Bay, in a picture entitled, “His Own Home Town.” The story .is one that just suits Ray, as Jimmy Duncan, “black sheep” who was not as black as the town which had driven him forth. Both erookedness and cold uncharitableness were his portion when he returned home. He was an unwelcome prodigal. But, inspired by a girl, and comforted by a dog he determined to make good. And make -good he did, despite all the powers of evil arrayed against him. Backed by it printing press, he humbled the gang who had prosecuted him, even to the verge of murder. A very laughable comedy, “Summer Girls,’ ’with Ford Sterling, Louise Fazenda, and all the Senllett diving girls, is also to be shown to-night.

THE KING'S. VAUDEVILLE AND PICTURES. AGAIN TO-NIGHT. On Saturday the King's was crowded with an enthusiastic audience when Rex Beach’s famous drama, “fHe-art of the Sunset” was presented. This superfeature eclipses any of his form-' er screen efforts, and held the huge audience spellbound wilth its thrills and romance. “Hank, Lank, and Alice” comedy-jugglers, high above the usual level. put on 21 turn bewildering as it was clever, and won 'r1m::«l-' erous applause. g'l'heil' club juggling was unique, and s}lowed that years. of practice must have been necessary to gain such a. high standard of perfection.

For the convclliellee of shopkeepers and those turned away on Saturday, the same programme will be submitted this evening. 7
