Mining shares on the Stock Exchange were in greater demand on Tuesday, and prices showed‘a firming tendency on Wednesda_v. This is taken as ‘an indication that all will be well from 11 production standpoint now onwards. It has been stated that the ‘agreement between the men and the coal-ownei-S coversayear of time, but this cannot be verified. In the meantime the different unions of miners have yet to endorse the term sof settlement arrangd by the Wellington conference.
