BIG SHOVV ATTRACTION. - “ROSE OF PARADISE.” A sequel to “Tess of the Storm Country,” by the same writer, Mrs Grace Miller, has been picturised under the title “Rose of Paradise, and is now screening at the King’s tonight. It is the first of the Paralta plays, and its leading star is the capable ana fascinating Bessie Barriscale. The Paralta Company decided for its first great play to take the \vell—known story “Rose of Paradise.” and Bessie Barriscale Was selected as leading lady. She scores a triumph in the role of the little country girl who is all the time an heiress, and manages to save a wrongfully accused man; in the nick of time. The. cruel plot which is planned by her guardian is frustrated at“lengt.h, and all ends liappily. The play is full of quaint and fascinating touches, and Bessie Bnrrisea.le is bonny, convincing, and \»'holcsolllely<£:«pretty throughout. The highest praise must be given to the perfectly amazing beauty of the photoplay of this production. The story lies, however, in the simple beauty and sterling appeal of the little heroine’s belief in the goodness of man~ kind.
