GOING UP.
PRICE OF PETROL INCREASED. STATEMENT FOR THE PRESS. The Board of Trade advises that on account of the increases resulting from‘ the unfavourable rate of ex~ change, and also the increased cost of transport and packing materiahs, I'n—creases in prices of petrol as fixed by Order-in-Council, of July 12th, 1918, -have been found necessary. The maximum retail prices will in future be as follow:-—-
Wellington.——Per case of not less than Bgals., class‘ A, 30/; B, 25/. Per tin of not less than 4gals, 15/ and 12/6. Less than 4gals, .per gal, 4/ and 3/6. ’ ,
Similar prices to the above will rule at Auckland, Christchurch, and Dunedin. ‘For A class petrol the price has been increased 3/ per Sgals. At Napier and Timaru.—Class A Sgals 30/6, class B 25/6; lgals, 15/3 and 19/9; less than 4g*3.ls, 4/1 and 3/7. "
At Wanganui, New Plymouth, and C~isborne.—Clas.s; A (8ga1s») 31/6, class 33 26/6; 4gals,éls/9. and 13/3; less than 4gals, 4/3 and 3/9. At Invercargill.——Class‘ A (Bgals) 32/, class B 27/; 4gals, 16/ and? 13/6; less than 4gals, 4/3 and 3/9. 3‘ These increases take efiect as from the 6th instant.
