In Ha,wkea’s Bay and Poverty Bay the drought affected the clip, and in‘ some cases the Wool is half perisheci and has a rough tip. _ , In Southern H,:nvke’s Bay and Waiu 1-oa Wool=~s‘ are mainly Well grown, am! in a light condition, while in Web! lington and Wanganui the dry season} made the Wool tender, but lambs wool is -better than the average. The Waritara clip showed some improvemenf, and the Nelson is of good‘ average quality. '
In Blenheim and on the coast and” back country, wools came in first-class order,- but overstockdng and a. dry autumn affected WOOLSJ from all other parts of the district. ’ Wools from Christchurch and Ti« maru are robust, and almost entirely‘; free from tender fleeces.
