.£,__,___._.9..___..._ A meetingof the General Committee of the Ranéitikei A. and P. Association. was held on Saturday afternoon. A Mr. R. Campbell tendered -his resignation, which was accepted with regret, and Mr J. Webb was appointed to fill his place. Messrs.R_ Mcßae, J. Eteveneaux, L,.Bro~oky, A. E. Rayner, L. Lord, H. Hesketh were elected members. Messrs. Doole, Fannin, and Goodriclfi were appointed to arrange for a trough an°d water supply for the cattle yards. » A deputation from the Caledonian Society waited on the Committee to ascertain if it was thought that a Caledonian‘ Sports meeting held on the same day as the Ram Fair would be any detriment to the latter. The opinion was that there was. no reason why the Caledonxian gathering should not; be held. 4 ~ Messrs. Bray and Bradley Were a.ppointed to confer with the Caledonian Committee with reference to matters! in connection with the ground.. 3 I It was decided to invite tenders for ‘ the rights of the luncheon booth_
It was resolved that members’ cars be allowed in free to the ground, nonmembers to be charged 5s each. The Moawhango residents have donated a £5 ss. gold medal for the best pen of three Romney rams» under 21 months.
The next meeting of the Committee ii to be held on the first Saturday in February.
