SOLDIER WITH gt RIFLE. . DUNEDIN, Jan. 13. ‘An un<liseh'a.rged ‘soldier, Leonard George Robertson, who appeared to be suffering from the effects ofieexecssive drinking, took charge of his mother’s shop "at _B2 Bay View Road this evening and eniphasised his threats by demonstrating With a rifle. His mother :took to the streetin alarm» and fobertson proceeded to take charge of the street by means of the rifle. Constable AvAMiln-e came on the scene, and in spite of repeated ‘threats from’ Robertson, who promiseq sudden death to all‘ and ‘sundry, he dashed in and got hold Of the rifle. violent struggle ensued, ‘En the course of which Robertson ’sv I.'~¥i.rmfvv!z_a.s broken.
