FIRE AT TARAD ALE.

NAPIER, This Day. The Hawke’s Bay Motor _Company’s branch stables at Taradale, the Tara~ dale hotel stables, Glenny’s~ storeroom and sheds, and a cottage owned by Paul Hawkins, were totally destroyed by fire early this morning. A favourable change of wind at the opportune moment resulted in half the township being saved. There was: no Water supply. The stables were insured for {£looo in the Royal Exchange; Hawkins’ cottage £200; hotel stables {£4oo in Norwich Union: Glenn)‘ was uninsured, as far as the destroyed outfbuildings were concerned. The latter also lost 60 cords of firewood, four tons of hay. and a large quantity of bran, oats, chaff, etc. Cause of the fire is unknown. ~
