WEDDING BELLS.

A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Ohakune, on 16th December, 1919, when Miss Ella Margaret, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. Barkes, Ohakune, was Married to Mr Maurice McGregor Gorrie, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Gorrie, Mangaroa, Upper Hutt. The church was beautifully decorated by girl friends of the bride-. The Rev. Norton ofiiciated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in '3. beautiful gown of white crepe de chine, -trimmed with pearls and panels of lace. A court train of charmeuse satin satin, lined with shell pink, hung from the shoulders, fastened with pearl ornaments. She also wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms, and carried a -beautiful bouquet of Christmas lilies, roses, ’and pale pink carnations. ‘She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Edith Parkes and Miss Flora‘, McCall, of Taihape, who wore frocks of lemén crepe de chine and georgette, with Leghorn hats ‘trimmed with lavender and pink. They carried bouquets of yellow roses, carnations, and brown pansies. Two little-flower girls, Miss Jean O’Conner and Hilda Gorrie, looked sweet in while voile frocks and carried baskets of pink roses. The bridegroo-;:.1 was attended by Mr G. Parkes, of Wellington, as’ best man, and Mr H. J. Murrell, Taihape, groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the hall, Ohakune. _ The happy couple-left during the afternoon amid showers of confetti and good wishes, thes -bride wearing a smart costume of grey and small hat of saxc blue and lemon Georgette. The bridesgroom’s present to -the bridesmaids were pearl rings, and to the little flower girls gold brooches. Mrs E. Box sster of the bride, presided at the organ. ‘ ‘The bride’s mother more a black satin frock and small black hat with touches of pink. She carried a ~bo-u----quet. of pink carnations. The bridegroom ’s mother were a smart blue costume, with black hat trimmed with tiny red rosesand carnations. The puiesents were numerous, including several cheques. V
