LAST OF THE AUSTRALIANS. LONDON, Nov. 12. Generals Birdwood, Monash, ‘MC-. Glynn, and Wisdom, together with 250 other Australian officers and men, with many dependants, are sailing for Australia aboard the Orrnonde on Satnurday. * A J -The Australian Press Association interviewed Sir John Monash, who said: “I am jolly glad ‘to find myself on the eve of departure. I -have been ‘away from home five years, but the last nine months were much more gstrenuous than the four years Of W3l‘- ' Demobilisation proved a stupendous task. It'would be difficult enough in peace time, with th ehelp of a trained Staff, to transport a. city of 200.000 People to the Antipodes in nine months. We-succeeded in completing . the bulk of the embarkation in eight months.
