CHATAUQUA.
A meeting -of the guarantors of the Taihape branch of ‘file Chatauqua Association was held in the Council Chambers on Friday af.t-ernnon. to meet organiser, Mr Hobart Me'Fa.ddon. Metters in connection with the coming Ch.autauqlra. season, which is to take place on December 2nd to Bth, were discussed. and the following executive elected: President, -‘Mr J. R. Cunninghame (Deputy—Mayor); vice-president, Mr Geo, VVrightson; secretary, Mr Strong; advertising committee, Messrs S. G. Peyton, D, Papwortli, L. De Lautour, F. W. Somerville, and A.‘ Dunear,;€\; grounds eommittee: Messrs Gr. Wl-ightison and) C. O. Gibbs. Matters of interest: were placed before the conimittee by Mr McF.addon, 'and details of the programme were given. As regards the quality of talent, ‘'there can be no doubt that the forth-coming season will be" most; in’teresting, -edifying, and entertaining.
