The I)l'gduct.ion is up to a select standard, and the undoubted ability of the stairs makes it unusually attractive. To {L shop girl whose ‘home is not a bed of roses, :the aifeetion of a millionaire ’s son shollld look attractivie, but ‘Alice will have none of it, and only wlien. his escapades. have caused the paternal vials of wratli to overflow, and he is cut off with the proverbial sll'illing_, does she consent to marry him. How they face poverty together, and finzally are crowned with the success, that follows assiduity, malies a. charming picture. A feature of the production is some novel and fine photography. It is a great combination—Alice Brady and David Powell. The Vehicle is worthy of them, Sielect’s “Her Groaitr Chance,” 9Jn:d' both. furnish ample evidence of careful and artistic portrayal. .

actors. Aifogether the drama is thrilling in its indicents with a pathetic
appeal to the uhc-art zthat cannot be denied. It would be little short of a great dramatic loss ‘to miss seeing this splendid picture, superbly acted by the foremost artist of the day. The other characters are ;-also stars, and as Ruth Ingram, the heroine, Jane Novak acts the part with great power. The. Sunshine comedies have already aachiercd a reputation locally for their mirth-prof voking powers, and the one to be screened to-night goes. -one belter than the previous best, being a scream from start to finish.
