SOLDIER ENTERTAINERS. After a phenoinenally successful season in Auckland, the Te -Koa. Soldier Entertainers, constitutedr by I'eturilecl soldiers, will appear at the TOWII Hlll on Friday evening next.‘ The party is composed of vocalists and elocuti-onists, together with light comedians, claiming :1 s'tandal'd equal, if not above, that of -any one concertparty that has yet played in the Dolninion. Mr Owen Pritchard, the comedian of the party, is, according to Auckland critics, in his cl-ass of Work unzipproachablc as regards hum-our, while at the same time he is said to possess the happy faculty of keeping his audience in smiles from the moment the curtain is drawn to» its ringing down. A tenor of note, and one enjoying all round popularity is Mr Victor Elliott, whose tenor voice is excellently suited -to his choice of items. Mr Elliott is Well known throughout Ailstrnlia on the concert platform. ‘ The -only lady‘ in the company is Miss \Vinifred Birch, :1. comedienne whose rare fund of humour, combined with rd-uintiness and a street voice, have made her a favourite everywhere. Also in the Te Koas are 111' Wally Edxvartls, who plays the part of :1. sonbrette with surprising finish and Colour; Mr Ties. XV-alton, Whose work is mainly confined to reeitative mzitt-er, and who is esteemerl in his class as :1 front-rank artist; and Ml‘ Billy Mardle, wlloseefl’orts as accompanists are stated to be equal to that of any concert pianist who has yet Visited‘ the Dominion.
