HOCKEY .
The match between Huia A. and Huia B. yesterday resulted in a win for Huia ‘K by two goals to nil. Owing to the "greasy and sodden state of the ground the exhibition" of play was farshort of the standard usually seen here. Huia B were unlucky in having to take the field with two -players short, and, judging from the play, if they had had a full team to step out, there is little doubt that the sc;.zes would have been reversed. As It was was not their fault. that they did not score on more than one occasion. Huia. A seemed to be playing :1 most erratic game, and were frequently penali-.=ed for off-side play, and will need. a lot of practice if. they are going to keep up their ‘past reputation.
