Nine youths were shot summarily on the 21st as a repressive measure. The entire population of two mining villages were driven to Germany. General Horsing -threatened de ‘poi-tations of the male populations of several villages, and was proceeding to carry out the threats on a wholesale scale when Poles, led by .a priest, re‘ volted.
