i NOTES BY ‘ ‘ ONLOOKER. ” ’ Yesterday *3 game was rather disappointing, as a total lack of combination was shown by both teams. However, this was som'ewh«a.t compensated for by the brilliant individual efforts of several of the players on both sides. For the Old Girls, the twomost prominent -were.E. McAuliife‘at half,- and 13. Jones, on the wing. J. Spooner, at inner forward, also showed prominently up. N. Brown, in the backs, is showing c-onsiderable improvelnem‘..The balance of‘ theteam seemed to lack combination. For ‘the Huias, the most prominent was E. Dowling, at wing, Mrs Webb, as back, Beattie, at half; Campbell at centreforward also played well. M. Owen is showing improvement. ,' ""”‘7
