BRITISH DEFEAT BOLSHEVIKS_ COMPLETE VICTORY ON THE ’ DWINA. ’ LONDON, Aug. 13. A complete British victory on the Dwina, is reported. The British advanced twelve miles and annihilated six Bolshevik battalions. One thousand prisoners were captured, also twelve guns. A Bolshevili Wireless admits that the Bolsheviks were driven back on both banks of the Northern Dwina.

The Daily Express’ correspondent on the Russo-Finnish frontier states that General Gough sent an ultimatum to former White Russians, threatening to withdraw British support unless prompt action was taken against Petrograd. (The Esthonians and Yudenick troops are quanefling. Though fully equipped by Britain, including tanks, they continue discontented, preventing action when Petrograd seemed to be within the grasp of the anti-Bolshevik forces‘.
