BEEF DOWN 5/ PER 100 POUNDS. ON LAST WEEK-‘S RATES‘. The yarding of Beasts a‘t the Westfield fat stock sales on Wednesday was slightly larger than I.as‘t week. There continued a severe demand, and although last week’s extreme prices were not sustained, very high rates were realised. '

The yarding of beasts comprised 211 head, and quality generally was an improvement on last Week’s market.‘ There was :a keen demand, but last week’s extreme values were scarcely reached.
