THE WEATHER AT NAPIER.
IMPROVEMENT SHOWN. NAPIER, flais day. . ‘After ten days of rough weathm-, during which 3.33 inches of rain fell the rivers rose rapidly yesterday, and a considerable amount of water overfluwcd on to low-lying country between Napier, Maance and Pakawhai, but the rivers fell considerably during thenight. Thc danger of a serious flood has been averted for the present. The sea has moderated considerably, ard the Arahura berthed this morning, and the Tarawcra anchored off the heakwater. So far no stock losses are reported. The weather is still threatening.
