PIGEON SHOOTING.
N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. A TAIHAPE CHAMPION. (By Telegraph———Speeial,) NAPIER, this day. At the championship shooting meeting being held at Napier, Mr Joe Casey, of the Awarua Gun Club, Taihape, tied yesterday for the £IOO prize and championship. Both shootists agreed to divide ‘the stakes, and shoot 011-‘ for the championship this, Friday, morning. The sFi'oot—ofi’ duily took place to-day, Joe winning the New Zealand championship with 21 birds. It says much for the nerue and constitution of Mr Casey to put up such 3, glorious battle for the Championship, after coming perilously near to a smash-up in a motor car, in the accident that occurred last Sunday, véhile he :and «others were motoring through to the Napier meeting. _
