Mr, Nathan asked for time to consider the matter. The meeting adjourned till 19th inst_, to ‘enable ' the‘ Committee in company with Messrs. Clarke and Nathan to inspect the property.
It was decided to communicate with other places (where water has bcexi found) asking for their reports. Roports have been obtained and are very encouraging. T

‘ Tlie following are the conditions and terms submitted by Mr. Nathan:—— (1) The Borough can prospect for water on property and if no water is found the property is to be put back in condition that it is in at present? and no charge is to be made_ (2) Should water be found _2.__ concrete troughs to be erected on Mr Nathan’s property ‘and water connected to the same and also laid on to his residence. and the sum of £SOOO to be paid for the half acre section.
