VICTORY WAR LOAN.
THREE MILLIONS SUBSCRIBED. WELLINGTON‘, July 4. The Ael.lug—l\i[inlStel' of Finance, the Hon. A. M. Myers, stated today that during June over £500,000 was received as subscriptions to the Victory war loan, bringing the total well in excess of £3,000,000 received by the Treasury since December last. ‘‘So far as it goes,” remarked Mr Myers, “this state of aifaii-s is safcii-_ factory. It is necessary, however; again to remind the peaple that the compulsory clauses under section 16 Of the Finance Act are still 0139"3fiV'3' and will be put. into force in respect of 811:’ firm or individual found not to be contributing adequately to the ex‘ :1‘ 3-; quer.
