WELLINGQTON this day The Acting-Prime Minister and the Minister of Mines, have received a letter from the Point Elizabeth and Liverpool State Collieries’ Industrial Union, in which the members state they take grave exception, to certain acts of the manager of the mines, in coifnection with which they— demand an enquiry Within fourteen days. Failing a. satisfactory reply the letter continues: “We will ask the permission of the Miners’ Federation Executive to employ such tactics as will in our opinion compel the powers that be to take notice of our request.”
