While out with her husband she‘ saw the prisoner, who “looked her in‘ band asked “Who is that fellow ” She made no reply to this. Their looked backwards and then the prisoner came back.‘ Cunningham used objec-« tionable language to them both and hit her in the eye. The witness added :that Cunninham had hit her before, Saying Cunningham had acter dis-' gracefully, the magistrate, sentenced; him to two months’ hard labour.
