FOOTBALL.
A meeting of the Pirate Juniors Foos< ball Club was held last night, Mr DunH bar occupying the chair.
Replies were received from four o| the six vice-presidents, stating theix! willingness to assist the club. The; president and others apparently are uos in I crested in sport, and sent no reply. Obingaiti replied accepting the challenge forwarded to them, and will play here on June ."3rd, the time arranged h'ing 1.45, as the visitors return by the 3.35 train. The foiling are /the layers selected:—Sinclair, McClure, Somes. McGowan, Leahy, McAuITKe, Hensen, Darvill, Kilkolly, McDonald, Keating, Bennett, Shields, Ash, Hunt. Emergencies: Green, Knox, McDonald, It was decided to approach Ma- Kelly, and if possible get the use of the stables to practice in.
June 3rd will be quite a gala day for football, as it is reporled that Tanmarunui will play the Pirates, and Raetihi will play ithe Railway; Ohingaiti will play the Pirate Juniors. The times scheduled are, Juniors 1.45 p.7n., Pirate Seniors 3 p.m. No time has yet been stated when the Raetihi match will be played.
