Owing to the State Government appointing the Coal Commission, the proprietors have decided not to proceed with the ratification of the agreement reached at Melbourne conference, although the Miners' Federation has accepted.

As a result of the New Zealand quarantine restrictions her owners have withdrawn the Westralia from the Melbourne to Wellington service. Mr. Watt has called a now conference of coal proprietors.
