SCOTLAND’S WELCOME.

OUR BOYS ON FURLOUGH

TRIBUTE TO ABERDEEN,

Returned New Zealand soldiers have been acclaiming the unbounded generosity extended to them in the Old Country. A clipping from a recent edition of the Aberdeen "Exposs” is rather exceptional. It. runs: "Private lies, of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, called this, morning at , this office to deliver himself of a eulogy of Aberdonians sufficient to bring a blush to the cheek of more deserving folk than even they can honestly h.opc to be. Pruned and abbreviated, it reads; 'Representing many New Zealanders at present spending a holiday in Aberdeen, and many others who have passed through, I wish to say that never in our experience in Europe have we met with such generous hospitality and warm-hearted kindness. It has been a revelation to us. -Scotland, as a whole, has given us a magnificent welcome, and Aberdeen best of all. I would particularly emphasise the kindness shown to us at the station and at the College street rest. Wo will go back to New Zealand with memories of the Granite City which never will be effaced. And we couldn’t go away without letting you know." ’ ’
