One effect of the visit of the Epidemic Commission to the quarantine station oh Somes Island is to draw attention to tine fetal inadequacy of the buildings for the purpose. They are all forty years old and worm-eaten, deficient of every convenience, and cannot accommodate any large number. It is estimated that a heavy sum would be required, to instal buildings and appliances suitable ftr accommodating a large nomber of persons.
