BOWLING NOTES.

(BT B-Uppe.)

Time flics. The bowling season is ucaring the end. what lias been accomplished? Lost the Hum Cup. The Pairs Competition, for the Thurston trophy—left over from last

season —is still a long way from be ing finished.

The Championship Singles is limp ing along slowly.

The draw for the singles handicap, with, a heavy entry is not yet out. Even with the sudden method it will take 31 games to finish it. How is it possible at this stage of the season to play them? Next week St. Patrick's Day will cut out the nsual Thursday play. After that with the shortening dsays. it will be impossible to play off a tie after the usual knock-off time.

There are not very many Thursdays «nd Saturdays left, and some of them may be wet.

The -experience of previous years —unfinished fixtures —seems to have the same effect as water on a duck's back.

Suppose we adopt the Chautauqua principle: Knock off or postpone everything else and have ia week's bowling. A joyous week! It will do us ever so much good—morally and physically. And no guarantee necessary.
