TAIHAPE POLICE COURT.
ALLEGED THEFT At the Taihape Police Court yesday, before Mesrs J. P. Aldridge and A. Nathan, Justices, James Charlton and Robert Jones were charged with stealing from Reid's boarding house a suit of clothes, watch, and chain, shirt and tobacco pouch, the property of T. McCollough, a returned soldier. The accused stayed a night at Reid's boarding house, cocupying the room in which tiro clothes were. They left by the early morning train, taking the above articles with them. They wore arrested in Martori by Constable Manley and brought to Taihape. When ap-: prehended one of the accused wag wearing the clothes alleged to, /-have been stolen; the watch and chain they had disposed of for 25/. ...... Both accused elected to be dealt with summarily, and were fined.'-'£2o each or three months in gaol.
