ROBBERY OF MAILS ON MOANA. WELLINGTON, this day Duriwg the Moana's last voyage to 'Frisco from Wellington four sa'cloS of registered letters were stolen. The thieves left no trace of how or when the crime was committed. The discovery was made by the postal officials at Frisco. In addition to Dr. Grimm and Miss Isbster, who were accidentally poisoned, three other deaths occurred during the Moana's run from Frisco to Wellington. These were a six' year old daughter of Mr and Mrs. Muir, Australians, returning from Frisco; also P. C. Brown, resident of Rarotonga ,and one of the crew. All died from natural causes

A FATAL FALL. LEVIN", this day. William Wcarne, M, a carpenter, was killed yesterday evening by a fall from a pine tree which he was engaged lopping. He was a resident of Wellington and the owner of a small farm at Levin, which he was visiting for the day.
