AMUSEMENTS
EVERYBODY'S. “The Avenging Trail,” showing at the Town Hall to-night, is still another Harold Lockwood success—a fine combination of story, scenic beauty, and the actor’s ability and personality. Lockwood "would be good in anything, but in “The Avenging Trail” he gets a chance to reveal his capabilities more than usual. He portrays a char, acter somewhat different from those which he has given us lately; he is a lumberjack amid the rough surroundings of a big timber camp; there are glimpses of easier and more comfortable surroundings, but the main action is in the open or in the rough shanties of the workers. There are some beautiful snow scenes and some fine views of big timber. The screen play is a red-blooded drama with vigorous action; there are two or threcl stirring fight scenes, exciting without being brutal, and the whole story'develops swiftly along lines that hold the interest rivetted to the end. A comedy, a gazette, and an industrial picture com. plete the programme.
