INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC.
UNITED KINGDOM’S TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. 110,000 DEATHS IN 12 WEEKS. LONDON, Dec. 31. The influenza epidemic has rapidly declined recently. There were approximately 90,000 deaths in the United Kingdom in twelve weeks, also 20,000 from pneumonia following influenza. SITUATION AT SYDNEY IMPROVING. ' SYDNEY, Jan. 1. The influenza position continues to improve. The disease is gradually disapeparing and only five cases remain at the Quarantine Station.
