RANGAEWAEA NOTES.
OWHAKURA SCHOOL PICNIC. (Own Correspondent.) Despite threatening weather conditions a most enjoyable picnic was held in the school ground on Boxing Day, the 2Gth inst., practically all the settlers being present, besides' numerous visitors from surrounding: districts. ... . ... Credit is due to Messrs. Matt Bell and W, Snow for the energy they devoted in order to ensure the afternoon ’s programme being a success. The Christmas tree was tastefully decorated with the many and various, toys so dear to the heart of the ch,ild. In the evening a dance- which was all that could be desired, was held in the Hall.
