NEW ZEALAND NEWS

THE ILL-FATED ARYAN. LOOK OUT TO BE KEPT. WELLINGTON, this day. The question of despatching the Hincmoa to search for the Aryan’s missing boat is under consideration. Captain Clayton, of the Arawa, which left for London yesterday, was asked by the Marino Department to keep a careful watch for the boafe. The steamer Dorset, which leaves today, will be asked to do similarly while steaming in the vicinity. The Aryan was the first boat allowed to clear from Wellington without the cargo being examined by the Customs officials. The practice has been, to make a careful examination owing to possible action by enemy subjects, but a few weeks after armistice was signed it was decided to discontinue the practice.
