AN OFFICIAL STATEMENT.
LONDON, Dec. 19. The Press Bureau reports: In of the renewed attempt to create an estrangement between the military and civilian authorities, it is officially stated that Sr Douglas Haig did not attend the InterAlled Conference in ~ London in December with Marshal Foch and M. Clemencau, owing to the fact that the King was then visiting the army. Sir Douglas Haig's prosit ent visit is of a private character, but A the Government, as soon aj it was advised, immediately organised a public reception, and* Mr Lloyd George altered his plans in reference to the conference at Paris in ferder to attend the reception.
