j HO.USE OF REPRESENTATIVES. ] VOTES QUICKLY PASSED. ' PRISONERS OF WAR IN ENGLAND PRIORITY OF RETURN CONCEDED WELLINGTON, this day. After the Telegraph Office closed the following votes were quickly passed:—State Forests £42,637, State Coal Mines £289,985, Land for Settlement £BOB9, Public Trustees Account £118,559, Government Insurance £72,051, Government Accident Insurance £7200, State Fire Insurance £14,102, State Advances , Account £571,856, Native Land Settlement | £7560. On the Speaker resuming the chair, Sir James Allen read the following telegram, which he had just received: "New Zealand prisoners from Germany are now arriving in England in company with British prisoners. Upon arrival their health is the first consideration. They arc given 28 days' leave if fit, and then have priority of return to New Zealand. The prisoners from Turkey go to Egypt, whence they have priority of return,, either direct or via England." Tho House rose at 2.30 »j.m.
