DEMOBILISATION.

The War Office states: The military situation does not admit of the commencement of demobilisation, excepting limited numbers required for industrial reconstruction. GREAT WORK BEGUN. BREAKING UP CAMP AT FEATHERSTON. WELLINGTON, Nov 20. The first of the thousands of men in Featherston Camp left for their homes bn Monday last. The great wor-k of sending the men home involves quite as much arranging and system as did their concentration, and a large staff of clerks is working day and night in the camp to rush the demobilisation along.
MEN BEING RELEASED FROM CAMP.

Men are being released from the camps as fast as the doctors can give them a clean bill of health. The provision of transport, however, affecting the repatriation of the South Islanders.
FOOD COMBINE BEING'WATCHED Received Noon. LONDON, Nov 20. In the House of Commons the Food Controller stated he was - aware of the international combined operation in foodstuffs, but the inter-Allied Food Council could be trusted to cope with the danger.
