ROLL OF HONOUR.

IN loving memory of a brave and loving father, Lance-Corporal H. A. (Bert) Diamond, killed in action 22nd October, 1917, at Abrahams’ Heights, south-west of Passchendaele, Belgium. For Britain, home and freedom, And to right a dreadful wrong, He chose the path of duty, And joined the khaki throng. He sleeps beside his comrades, In a shallow grave, unknown, But his name is written in letters of love In the hearts he left at home. He nobly did his duty. Inserted by his loving sons, Bert and Jim.
