IN loving memory of Lance-Corporal H. A. (Bert) Diamond, dearly loved husband of Elizabeth J. Diamond, killed in action 22nd October, 1917, at Abrahams’ Heights, south-west of Passchendaele, Belgium. To-day as we look at your photo, A soldier so noble and true; Do you know that our hearts are aching And longing, dear Bert for you. How noble were' the words you spoke Before you went away: “It’s every Briton’s duty Liz, To join in this great fray.” He died that we might live. Inserted by his loving wife.
