Nobleman was scratched for the New Zealand Cup at noon yesterday. A cable message from Sydney states that the New Zealand Desert Gold eclipsed all Randwick records for a mile and a-quarter, registering 2m Ills on the course proper, outside hurdles. RANDWICK TRAINING NOTES. SYDNEY, October 1. The weather was fine and the tracks fast for training operations at Rahdwick. , Gloaming, assisted by Molyneux, covered a mile in 1.44. Finmark beat Estland by a neck over six furlongs in 1.185. Biplane traversed a mile in 1.44. Kilhope beat two others over seven furlongs in 1.35. Outlook beat Eastcourt in a gallop over nine furlongs in 1.591. Almoner headed Kilmoon at the end of a similar distance, done in 2.0. Publican, the Epsom Handicap favourite, did five furlongs in 1.55 • Wolaroi registered the best gallop of the morning, covering seven furlongs in 1.30|. Panacre was three lengths ahead of Killowen at the end of seven furlongs in 1.305.
Desert Gold, with a light-weight up, covered seven furlongs in 1.30, the first six being left behind in 1.17. Dick Meagher galloped six furlongs in 1.21# Bee ran a mile in 1.51, Kenn'aquhair doing the same time, while Lord Acre covered a mile in 1.48|. AUSTRALIAN SCRATCHINGS.
