MANAWATU SHOW.

Since the New Zealand Breeders Association has got itself into a real’live institution, the much despised pig is» going to show that it has a little place in the sun. To perpetuate the memory of an old “Stalwart" the late Mr Robert Perrett, the Association has founded a memorial challenge shield for most points in Berkshires, which is to be competed for at Palmerston North, and which will carry a £5 gold medal with it. The Show Committee has given its medals for champion boars in all divisions of pigs for some years past now. This has encouraged breeders so much that the pig division has grown greatly. Stimulated by the £ efforts of the Breed Association, big things are now looked for. Entries close on 12th. October, and schedulesmay be had post free on application toBox 85 Palmerston North.
