HOCKEY.

A r meeting of the executive committee, of the Ladies'Hockey Association was held, last evening/ there being present Messrs W. J. Munro (chair), S. ..Dunbar, S. Reid, J. Harris, H. Green, and A. "Wilson (Hon. Sec.) The Wanganui Association wrote, stating that the application for affiliation had been accepted. The Wanganui Association also. intimated that a rep. match had been arranged for August 31st, but as Taihape would be unable to be fully represented on that date, it was decided that Wanganui be requested to visit Taihape on Thursday, August 29th, and a return match at Wanganui be played on September 19th. In connection with matches with Manawatu, September 25th was submitted by the local Association as' a suitable date for a match here, 'and October 3rd was suggested for a return" match at Palmersccn North. • Alter discussion it was decided that threap more challenges at the discretion of the Executive, bo allowed for the Hintz Cup.

In the absence of Mr. de Luen, Mr. S. Reid was appointed as selector of the rep. team.

Messrs J. Harris and S. Reid were appointed as referees for the Cup match-'to be held on Thursday, 29th inst. &
