WANGANUI DETENTION BARRACKS INQUIRY
WANGANUI, this day. e Regarding the alleged ill-treatment of inmates in the Wanganui detention barracks, the Returned Soldiers’ Association passed a resolution desiring to assure the Minister of Defence they are satisfied that no undue hardship has been meted out to occupants of the barracks. The Association is convinced that the treatment is infinitely better than in military camps.
