THE VALUE OF SEA-POWER. Received 9.15 a.m. , PARIS, July 15. M. Georges Leygues, Minister of Marine, in an interview on France's Day, presented the first record if-the Navy's service.. He said the French navy was proud to co-operate with the honourable British fleet, which was assuring to the Entente, the mastery of the seas which was essential to vicBritish squadrons have imprisoned the German fleet in the North Sea. The French warships have imprisoned the Austrian fleet and barred the Otranto Channel, also mounting guard in the Eastern Mediterranean. The Italian fleet 'was watching the Adriatic. The American and Japanese naval forces were co-operating in general operations. The Allied shores have been safeguarded from enemy abuse for four years.
