FRENCH EXECUTE BRILLIANT ATTACK. LONDON, July 13. A' - French communique states: Our troops this morning carried out a brilliant attach on a front- of five kilometres between Cartel and north of Mailly Raineval. All objectives were secured, including the capture of Cartel, Ancbin Farm, and a number of strongly organised spinneys. The ad, vance in some places was two kilometres deep. We prisonered over 500.

LONDON, July 13. ’A French semi-official report states that the capture of Corey completes the clearance of the enemy from the Forest of Yillers Cotterets. This was the object of the series of recent French local attacks, which resulted in securing useful positions and valuable information, previous to the resumption of the enemy’s offensive. The bastion formed by the Forest is now intact. GERMAN OFFICIAL REPORT. LONDON, July 13. Wireless German official: We fepulsed strong enemy thrusts and frequent reconnaissances south-west of Ypres and north of Albert. Lively French activity continued between the Aisne and the Marne.
