In the Reichstag attention was drawn by a member to the grave food situation.
The Socialist Weals said certain circles, including the Kaiser, had no idea of'the m'isc'ry of the masses, 47 per cent of whom earned under: four marks (3/8) daily. The shortening of the war would be a greater economic gain than to conquer any province.
